Addiction

We often view our addictions as behaviors to manage rather than worship to redirect. Anything that enslaves us and prevents us from treasuring God can be viewed as an addiction. The Bible tells us that we sin because we are slaves to sin, and we are slaves to sin because we continually commit sin. As addicts, we are responsible for what we do and yet we’re slaves to what we do. We cannot free ourselves. We need a deliverer.
