Church Picnic

We’ve got ourselves a semi-annual tradition forming! We’ll be gathering as a church family at the beautiful Scioto Audubon Metro Park. Bring your own lunch, lawn chairs, and your favorite lawn game! The Scioto Audubon also has many fun, family-friendly attractions nearby. 

Night of Prayer and Worship

After a month learning and growing in prayer as a community, we are gathering together to rest in God’s presence and labor together in prayer for more of its redeeming, renewing, life-giving power.

Women's Event: Meet & Cheese

Join the women of Veritas Short North for a fall evening of charcuterie in the park, warm drinks around the fireplace and best of all, time together! We will have intentional opportunities to connect with women across our church who you may not have met before, so come ready to make some new friends.

Student Ministry: Fall Costume Party

Weinland Park Trunk or Treat

It’s that time of year again!  For four years in the running now Veritas has partnered alongside the Weinland Park Elementary PTO to organize a Trunk or Treat event for the students and surrounding neighborhood of Weinland Park! Get those old decorations back out. We are looking for Veritas members to be present by hosting a “trunk," as well as volunteering with other needs such as bounce houses, cooking, face painting, and a manning a Veritas resource table.

Join the men of Veritas Short North for a tailgate party complete with sports, board games, and hanging out! Main food will be provided, but we encourage you to bring along a tailgate side and/or drinks to share with the group.

Day of Corporate Prayer and Fasting for Our Nation

As Christians, we are called to walk a third way, the way of Jesus, which is neither Democrat nor Republican (nor centrist, for that matter), as we radically engage in the political environment we live in. As a church, we are setting aside a specific day of fasting and prayer for God’s will to be done in our country, appealing to His wisdom and justice to prevail in our hearts and in our elected leaders. Let us commit to fasting collectively as a body, to the extent that you are able, culminating in corporate prayer together at the church.
