The timeline will vary based on the scale and intended outcome of the event! Ideally, the request form is filled out 2-3 months in advance to give our congregations
at least a month’s notice for any congregation-wide or church-wide event.
After filling out the request form, the Communications and Media Manager will follow up with a Communication plan and timeline for collaboration and execution!
For Veritas sanctioned events here’s a sample Communications timeline (All of the following will not be necessary for every event):
Phase One: Launch (1-2 months out)- Standalone email announcement
- Website Event Created
- Mobile App Notification
- Facebook Event Created
- Begin appearing in Sunday Bulletin communications
- Social media promo
Phase 2: Follow-Up (2-4 weeks out) - Standalone follow-up email
- Registration Created (if needed and it wasn’t already)
- Volunteer Recruitment emphasized if needed
- Share in congregation specific Facebook Group
Phase 3: Sprint (Week of)- Social Media feed posts and stories
- App notification
- Final standalone email
