West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - April 5, 2026
Pause to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we share in together as the body of Christ at Sunday morning worship Gatherings.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Alleluia! Christ is risen!
Congregation: Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and may have it to the full." Christ, our Passover Lamb, is sacrificed for us; therefore let us keep the feast. Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!

COMMITMENT
Leader: Almighty God, in raising Jesus from the grave, you shattered the power of sin and death. We confess that we remain captive to doubt and fear, bound by the ways that lead to death.
Congregation: We overlook the poor and hungry and pass by those who mourn; we are deaf to the cries of the oppressed and indifferent to calls for peace. We sit in self-pity and fear, unwilling to put others before ourselves.
Leader: Forgive us, God of mercy. Help us to trust your power that overcame death on the cross and is fully able to transform our lives and our world for your glory.
Congregation: This is the good news: the grave is empty! Christ has risen! Christ has overcome all sin and darkness. Alleluia!

COMMITMENT
Leader: This is the good news that we have received, in which we stand, and by which we are saved:
Congregation: Christ died for our sins, was buried, was raised on the third day, and appeared first to the women, then to the apostles, and then to many faithful witnesses. We believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, the firstborn of all creation, in whom all things hold together, in whom the fullness of God was pleased to dwell by the power of the Spirit. Christ is the head of the church, and by the blood of the cross he reconciles all things to God. Christ has died, Christ has risen, and Christ will come again! Amen.

BENEDICTION
Leader: We declare with joy and trust that Christ is risen. We declare with joy and trust that Christ has conquered sin and death. We declare with joy and trust that Christ is Lord of all creation and Lord of new life. We declare with joy and trust that Christ, our risen Lord, is coming again and that we shall see the salvation of our God. Peace be with you!
Congregation: And also with you!
