Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest! Recall the words of the Scriptures:
Congregation: "A great crowd who had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying, 'Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!'"
Leader: In praise we adore you, King Jesus. Enter our hearts today as you entered Jerusalem long ago, and lead us by faith in the way everlasting.

CONFESSION & ASSURANCE
Leader: Like the people who greeted Jesus as he entered Jerusalem and then later pronounced "Crucify him," we are fickle people who often deny Christ in our thoughts, words and deeds.
Congregation: Remembering the events of Jesus' last week, may we see ourselves for what we are: sinners in need of a Savior... a Savior we have in Christ. In honesty and hope, we confess our sins to God and ask for his forgiveness.

COMMITMENT
Leader: We are jars of clay, easily broken, carrying the death of Jesus in our bodies, unworthy to contain the treasure of the gospel. But thanks be to God, who turns death into life through His Son Jesus.
Congregation: Thanks be to God, who redeems our brokenness and suffering so that Jesus's life is displayed in our lives. Thanks be to God that he chooses to work in our fragile lives to display the beauty of his good news. May we have eyes to see how God is redeeming the world through us, to his glory.

BENEDICTION
Leader: As you go through this holy week leading to the great celebration of Easter, may you remember what Christ has done for you. And may our Lord, whose arms were spread on the cross to embrace the whole world, help us this week to take up the cross and follow him. Peace be with you!
