2.22.26 - Tri-City Sunday Gathering Liturgy

Tri-City Sunday Gathering Liturgy - February 22, 2026

Pause to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we share in together as the body of Christ at Sunday morning worship Gatherings.

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: And so are we gathered here,
uniquely in all of history, we particular people
in this singular time and place.

CongregationAccomplish your purposes among us, O God.

Leader: Tune our hearts to the voice of your Spirit.

CongregationWake us to be present to you and to one another
in this shared time we’ve been given.

Leader: For it is you, O Lord, who have so
gathered us from our various places,

CongregationAnd you alone who know our hearts and our needs.

Leader: Among us are some who arrive anxious, some
who are lonely, some who suffer pain or sorrow.

CongregationMay we in our joys find grace to enter the
sorrows of others.

Leader: Among us are some who arrive rejoicing,
hearts made light by good news,
good health, and glad anticipation.

CongregationMay we in our sorrows
find grace to embrace the joys of others.

Leader: Let us prize these moments and care for one
another deeply—for each of us, and our
relationships to one another, are precious and
fleeting.

CongregationBreathe upon our gathering, Spirit of God

Leader: Grant each of us, a place to humbly
receive and to faithfully serve that we might
know in this brief gathering a foretaste of that
greater communion yet to come

CongregationOh Father, enlarge our hearts
Oh Spirit, expand our vision
Oh Christ, establish your kingdom among us.

Leader: Be at work even now oh Lord,
may your will in us in these hours be accomplished

CongregationAmen

CONFESSION

Leader: Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting

CongregationDust returns to dust,
Everything we have put our trust in, apart from You,
Has been revealed as meaningless vapor.

Search us, O God, and fix our eyes on Jesus.

Psalms 139:23-24

BENEDICTION

Leader: May the aroma of Christ be upon you as you go from this place. May His grace and forgiveness infiltrate every aspect of your life this week, as you love those God places in our path.
