West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - January 11,
2026
Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Together with all the saints, let us bless the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort.
Congregation: We bless the Lord and give glory to his name. He is worthy to be praised!

CONFESSION/ASSURANCE
Leader: God has given us the unmeasurable gift of being united to him through Christ our Lord.
Congregation: We confess that in ourselves we aren't worthy of this mercy and grace. We confess that we aren't able to unite ourselves to Christ in our own strength and it's only through his Holy Spirit that we can draw near.
Leader: Lord, you are the vine and we are the branches.
Congregation: Unite us with you as branches within the vine. Help us abide in you as you abide in us. Keep us close to you always.

COMMITMENT
Leader: Please read this prayer of commitment together:
Congregation: God of all comfort, deliver us from our sins and from the adversity we suffer each day. Unite us with yourself through your Son Jesus and in the power of your Holy Spirit, and shape us to become more and more like him. Teach us to abide in you and to trust you for wisdom and strength for each day. Amen.

BENEDICTION
Leader: May the God of all comfort make his presence so clearly known to you this week that you can't help but praise him for his loving care, and with the love you receive, may you pour it into those around you this week. Peace be with you!
Congregation: And also with you!
