CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Great are the deeds of the Lord! They are studied by all who delight in them. His work is full of majesty and splendor, and his righteousness endures forever. He makes his marvelous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.
Congregation: He gives food to those who fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant. He has shown his people the power of his works in giving them the lands of the nations. The works of his hands are faithfulness and justice; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, because they are done in truth and equity.

CONFESSION/ASSURANCE
Congregation: Merciful God, who sent your messengers the prophets to preach repentance and prepare the way for our salvation, Grant us grace to heed their warnings and turn from our sins, that we may greet with joy the coming of Jesus Christ our Redeemer, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Leader: In this Advent season of waiting on the Lord, we trust in the Lord's goodness. We rely on his mercy. We find shelter in his steadfast love.
