CALL TO WORSHIP
Congregation: All praise and glory be to our God with us, our Emmanuel, our Wonderful Counselor, our Mighty God, our Everlasting Father, our Prince of Peace.
Leader: Jesus, You entered this world of darkness and despair to shine your light, bring your hope and share your love to all.

CONFESSION // ASSURANCE
Leader: Eternal God, through long generations you prepared a way for the coming of your Son, and by your Spirit you still bring light to illumine our paths.
Congregation: Renew us in faith and hope that we may welcome Christ to rule our thoughts and claim our love, as Lord of lords and King of kings, to whom be glory always. Amen.

Leader: We light this candle as a sign of the coming light of Christ.
Congregation: Advent means coming. We are preparing for the full coming of God’s kingdom:
Leader: Every valley shall be lifted up and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain.
Congregation: As we await the fullness of God's kingdom, may the peace, joy, and love we've given through Christ draw us into deeper delight this Advent.
