West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - November 23,
2025
Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! For his mercy endures forever.
Congregation: Let the redeemed of the Lord proclaim that he has redeemed us from the hand of the enemy.
Leader: We wandered in the wilderness, finding no place to live. We were hungry and thirsty; our souls fainted within us.
Congregation: Then we cried out to the Lord in our trouble; he rescued us from our distress. Let us give thanks to the Lord for his faithful love and his wondrous works for all humanity. For he has satisfied the thirsty and filled the hungry with good things. Give thanks to the Lord!
- From Psalm 107

CONFESSION/ASSURANCE
Leader: Loving Father, we confess that sometimes we think we can do things by ourselves without you. Sometimes we are worried about things beyond our control. We forget that you give us everything we have and that you make us who we are.
Congregation: Forgive us for making idols of ourselves and of our wants and desires. Forgive us for not trusting you to take care of us. Thank you for always loving us even when we forget that we need you.

COMMITMENT
Leader: Please pray this prayer of commitment together:
Congregation: Lord, we want to be fully alive in you. Help us receive the love and the life you give us with gratitude and joy, trusting you for everything. Keep us in awe of who you are and in your great love for us. Help us throw off anything we're clinging to that keeps us from having the abundant life you want for us. May our eyes be fixed on you as you lead us in your Kingdom. In Jesus' name, Amen.
