CONFESSION // ASSURANCE
Leader: In our brokenness,
Congregation: Lord help us remember your grace.
Leader: In our need,
Congregation: Lord help us to remember your provision.
Leader: In our want,
Congregation: Lord help us to remember that you alone can satisfy.
Leader: In our day to day,
Congregation: Lord help us to remember that you are present with us.
Above all things and in all things, Lord help us to remember you.
Congregation: Lord help us remember your grace.

COMMITMENT
I invite you to reflect on the words of Hebrews 12 as I read it.
Leader: Let us lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Let us respond now together as we read this prayer of commitment:
Congregation: Father, keep us from looking to the world to determine how we should live our lives and help us to continually look to Jesus’ life for guidance in our everyday lives. Give us the faith and courage to live in the radical, joy-producing way Jesus calls us to live. In you, Father, we are victorious and freed from death and sin. May we delight in you as we live in this freedom for your glory alone. Amen.
