CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Let us worship God, our light and our salvation. The Lord is the stronghold of our lives.
Congregation: We desire to live in God's house and seek God in his holy temple. We have come with shouts of joy, to sing and make music to the Lord.
Leader: Let us worship God in spirit and in truth. Teach us your ways and make straight our paths in this time of worship and always.

CONFESSION // ASSURANCE
Leader: Lord, we confess that we spend much time chasing after things that are futile. We are tempted by pleasure and power and chase what our hearts long for.
Congregation: When we take our eyes off you and fail to seek you first, we are chasing the wind. Forgive us, Lord, and give us your desires for our lives. In Jesus' name, amen.

Congregation: Lord, give us the grace and wisdom to receive good things from your hand without taking credit for what you give us. Help us stop confusing worldly success with eternal rewards. May we be a people who keep our gaze fixed on you and the truth of your word. Let us chase after the things that are close to your heart instead of ours. Make us into a people who long to seek your face. Through Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
