CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Jesus Christ emptied himself by taking on the form of a servant, being born into the world as a man. In humble obedience to his Father, he went to the cross to die for you and for me.
Congregation: God has exalted his Son and given him the name that is above every name. At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow–in heaven and on earth and under the earth–and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

COMMITMENT
Leader: The people of our city walk in the dark, blind to the light of the Father’s goodness.
Their ears have not heard the Good News of Jesus’s cross. Their bones have not been filled with the Spirit’s new life.
When we hear the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?”
Congregation: We say, “Here I am. Send me.”
Leader: To bring your healing touch to the broken:

Leader: To bring your enduring hope to the despairing:
Congregation: We say, “Here I am. Send me.”
Leader: To bring your sacred peace to the fearful:

Leader: To bring your anchoring truth to the wandering:

Leader: To bring your audacious joy to the depressed:

Leader: Turn these words from a hollow mantra into a whole-life purpose, we pray:
Congregation: “Here I am Lord. Send me.”
