West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - August 17,
2025
Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Living God, send your Holy Spirit upon us so that we may praise your name in unity and strength. Teach us not to rely on our own strength but give us joy and freedom in knowing that worship is a gift made possible by the work of your Spirit.
Congregation: As we remember the way your Spirit came to the early church, we ask that in the same way, you would help us sense your working in us. Amen.

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
Leader: The Lord God said, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
Congregation: We hear the good news that in Christ, we are a new creation. By his Spirit we are strengthened to follow him. By his love, we love others and become the church God calls us to be.

COMMITMENT
Leader: The love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. We dwell in him and he in us.
Congregation: Give thanks to the Lord and call upon his name. Worship and glorify God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. In harmony we praise the Three-In-One and devote ourselves to following him wholeheartedly.

BENEDICTION
Leader: May the wind of the Spirit pour over you as you devote yourselves to the Lord and to each other. May you live in the love of the Father, sense the ministry of the Spirit, and imitate the life of the Son this week and always.
Peace be with you.
