CALL TO WORSHIP
Congregation: God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble.
So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea.
Leader: God has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams bring joy and delight to his people. His river flows right through the city of God Most High, into his holy dwelling places. God is in the midst of his city, secure and never shaken. At daybreak his help will be seen with the appearing of the dawn.
Congregation: The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side! The God of Jacob fights for us!

Leader: Lord, our personal kingdoms have a habit of growing dangerously large.
Congregation: Father, forgive us for the ways we infringe upon your lordship, both in conscious action and subconscious desire.
Leader: Lord, when we find ourselves anxious about what we will eat or drink or wear or anything else, instead of minimizing our concerns, you issue to us a call to trust in you, our provider.
Congregation: Father, we often doubt your ability and desire to intervene in our lives and provide in tangible ways. Fill us with a trust that floods ever-deeper into our souls.
Leader: Your word says that you are our Shepherd, you are the restorer of our souls, you are our comfort, and that your goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives.
Congregation: Father, instill in us the depths of your love for us. May we taste and see your goodness. May we live in the joy that comes from you alone. Cause our hearts to long for nothing other than you.
