Short North Sunday Gathering Liturgy - June 15, 2025

Pause to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we share in together as the body of Christ at Sunday morning worship Gatherings.

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: Lord, you are good! You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.

Congregation: We have found favor in your sight, O Lord. Though we are a stiff-necked people, you dwell in our midst.

Leader: Pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.

Congregation: Lord, you are good forever! Your faithfulness never ends!

— Based on Exodus 34

COMMITMENT

Congregation: God has shown us what is good. And what does the Lord require of us? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God.

— Based on Micah 6:8

BENEDICTION

Leader: We are God’s beloved children, called by Jesus to feed His sheep and follow Him with joy. As we go today, may His love shape us, His Spirit lead us, and His mission send us into the world with hope. Peace be with you.

Running In Circles
Verse
I'm so forgetful
But You always remind me
You're the only one who brings me peace
You're the only one who brings me peace

Pre-Chorus
So I come, Lord, I come
I come, Lord I come

Chorus
To tell You I love You, To tell You I need You
To tell You there's no better place for me
Than in Your arms
To tell You I'm sorry, for running in circles
For placing my focus on the waves
Not on Your face
You're the only one who brings me peace
You're the only one who brings me peace

Here I Am To Worship
Chorus
Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down,
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy,
Altogether wonderful to me
Come Thou Fount
Verse 1
Come Thou fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it, Mount of God's unchanging love

Verse 2
Sorrowing I shall be in spirit, Till released from flesh and sin,
Yet from what I do inherit, Here Thy praises I'll begin;
Here I raise my Ebenezer; Here by Thy great help I’ve come;
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at home.

Verse 3
Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger, Interposed His precious blood;
How His kindness yet pursues me, Mortal tongue can never tell,
Clothed in flesh, till death shall loose me, I cannot proclaim it well.
Instrumental:

Verse 4
O to grace how great a debtor, Daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy goodness like a fetter, Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander Lord I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart O take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above

Verse 5
O that day when freed from sinning, I shall see Thy lovely face;
Clothed then in Thy blood washed linen, How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace;
Come, my Lord, no longer tarry, Take my ransomed soul away;
Send thine angels now to carry me to realms of endless day.

Establish the Work of Our Hands
Verse 1
If You don't build it, we labor in vain, Without Your Spirit, we stand with no strength
I know my time is passing away, But the works of Your hands are what will remain
Let the favor of the Lord rest upon us

Chorus
O Lord, establish the work of our hands.
O Lord, establish the work of our hands

Verse 2
Teach us to number the length of our days
Pour out Your power, we'll pour out Your praise
Teach us to run, to finish the race
For only what's done in love will remain
Let the favor of the Lord rest upon us

Bridge
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
To Worship You I Live

Chorus
To worship you I live, to worship you I live, I live to worship you
To worship you I live, to worship you I live, I live to worship you
