6.8.25 - West Sunday Gathering Liturgy

West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - June 8,
 2025

Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.

PSALM

Psalm 67

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: Come to the One who welcomes the honest seeker. Come to the One who meets fear with peace, who meets doubt with presence, who meets questions with love.

Congregation: We come to worship the risen Christ, our Lord and our God!

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE

Leader: Lord, we confess that like Thomas, we carry doubts, fears, and questions.

Congregation:Though we struggle to believe what we cannot see, we’re learning to trust in your Word.

Leader: You do not turn us away in our unbelief. You come close, speaking peace.

Congregation: Forgive us, Lord. Help our unbelief.

Leader: Jesus meets us not with shame, but with love. He says to us, “Do not disbelieve, but believe.” In Him, we are forgiven and free.

Congregation:Thanks be to God!

COMMITMENT

Leader: Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen, and yet have believed.” Though we have not seen Him with our eyes, we love Him. Though we have not touched His hands, we trust in His grace. And though we came with questions, we go with faith.

Congregation: We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. And by believing, we have life in His name!

BENEDICTION

Leader: Go now in the peace of the risen Christ. As those who have not seen, yet believed. May your life tell the story: that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God— and by believing, you will have life in His name. Peace be with you.

Congregation: And also with you!
