6.1.25 - West Sunday Gathering Liturgy

West Sunday Gathering Liturgy -June 1,
 2025

Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.

PSALM

Psalm 91

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE

Leader: Lord, we confess that we often live as though You are still in the tomb. We doubt Your power. We resist Your peace.

Congregation: Forgive us, Lord. Come and speak peace over our fear.

Leader: You call us by name, but we turn away. You send us out, but we remain behind closed doors.

Congregation: Forgive us, Lord. Come and breathe Your Spirit into our hearts.

Leader: Hear the words of the risen Christ: “Peace be with you.” To the grieving and the fearful, He draws near. To the doubting and the distant, He speaks by name. In Him, you are forgiven, restored, and sent.

BENEDICTION

Leader: Church, Jesus has risen. He called Mary by name. He came to the fearful disciples with peace. He now comes to us— to comfort, to restore, and to send.

Congregation: Christ is risen indeed! He is our purpose and our peace!

Leader: Just as the Father sent Him, He now sends us into the world— not in fear, but in faith. Not in silence, but with witness. Not alone, but filled with the Spirit.

Congregation: We are sent in the name of the risen Lord! We carry His hope to the world!

Leader: So let us sing with confidence, proclaiming the hope that raised Jesus from the grave.

Congregation: Hallelujah! Christ is our Living Hope!

BENEDICTION

Leader: Go now in the name of the risen Christ— who calls you by name, who speaks peace into your fear, and who sends you with the Spirit. Know that you are not alone.
Peace be with you.

Congregation: And also with you!
