West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - February 23rd,
2025
Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Church, we gather today not by our own strength, but by the grace found through Jesus Christ our Lord, who stands before the throne on our behalf.
Congregation: It is not our righteousness, but His. Not our goodness, but His mercy poured out.
Leader: Jesus, our King, humbled Himself to serve, to cleanse, and to love us without condition. And now, He calls us to follow His example.
Congregation: We worship the One who loves, who serves, and who saves. Let us lift our voices in praise, amen!

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
Leader: Jesus, the King of all, stooped low to wash the feet of His disciples. He came not to be served, but to serve—to cleanse hearts, to bear our sin, and to make us whole. Yet so often, we resist His grace, clinging to pride, refusing to let Him wash us.
Congregation: Lord, we confess that we have sought status over service, self over surrender. We have resisted Your cleansing, forgetting that without You, we are incomplete.
Leader: But hear this: Jesus does not turn away the weary. He does not withhold His mercy. He kneels before the undeserving, even washing the feet of His betrayer. And now, He calls us to come—not as those who have cleaned ourselves, but as those in need of His cleansing love.
Congregation: Thanks be to God! In Christ, we are fully known, fully loved, and fully forgiven.

COMMITMENT
Leader: In Christ, we are no longer slaves to our sin—we are sons and daughters, fully loved, fully known, and forever His. To be His children is to walk in His ways.
Congregation: As Jesus has loved us, so we will love. As He has served us, so we will serve.
Leader: He calls us to step out in faith, to go where He leads, to trust Him even when the waters are deep and the path is uncertain.
Congregation: Lord, we are Yours. Lead us beyond our comfort and beyond our fear, that we may follow You in faith, amen.

BENEDICTION
Leader: Go now, following the example Jesus set by loving others as He has loved you, serving others as He has served you, and surrendering as he has surrendered all to you. Go now and proclaim His good grace. Peace be with you.
Congregation: And also with you!
