Short North Sunday Gathering Liturgy - January 12,
2025
Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.
CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
Congregation: Father, we are blind, and we pray you would be our light, ignorant, and we pray that you would be our wisdom, we are self willed, but Lord be our mind. Open our ears to grasp quickly your spirits voice, melt our conscience that no hardness remain. And when Satan approaches, may we flee to your wounds, and there cease to tremble at all alarms. Be our good Shepherd to lead us into the green pastures of your Word, and cause us to lie down beside the rivers of its comforts. Your cross was upraised to be our refuge, Your blood streamed forth to wash us clean. We were strangers, outcasts, slaves, rebels, but your cross brought us near.

COMMITMENT
Leader: Lord, you are our shepherd; we have all that we need. You give us rest in green meadows; You lead us beside peaceful streams. You renew our strength. You guide us along right paths, bringing honor to Your name. Even when we walk through the darkest valley, we will not be afraid, for you are close beside us. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort us. You prepare a feast for us in the presence of the enemy. You welcome us in by anointing our heads with oil. Our cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue us all the days of our lives, and we will live in the house of the Lord forever. In you we have a beautiful inheritance!
Congregation: Therefore our hearts are glad and our whole being rejoices; our bodies also rest securely. You reveal the path of life to us; in your presence is abundant joy; at your right hand are eternal pleasures.
- Based on Psalm 23 and Psalm 16

BENEDICTION
Leader: Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Peace be with you.
Congregation: And also with you!
