CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Let us worship God, our light and our salvation.
Congregation: The Lord is the stronghold of our lives.
Leader: We desire to live in God's house and to seek God in his holy temple.
Congregation: We have come with shouts of joy, to sing and to make music to the Lord!
Leader: Let us worship God in spirit and in truth.
Congregation: Teach us your ways and make straight our paths this morning of worship and always.

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
Leader: Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide, and too deep to undo. Forgive what our lips tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear, and that has become for us a consuming fire of judgment. Set us free, by the blood of Jesus, from a past that we cannot change; and open to us a future in which we can be changed by presence of your spirit.
Congregation: Grant us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image; through Jesus Christ, the light of the world, Amen.

COMMITMENT
Leader: God and Father of Jesus, You have sent Your Son to be our Savior: our light in the midst of darkness, our rescue from the raging floods, our hope in the face of threats, our peace amid turmoil.
Congregation: In Your Word we have seen Jesus and know that Your promises are true. Send us forth from this gathering with a renewed awakening to the Glory of Christ and cause us to trust and worship Him with all that we do, that we may live for Your glory. This we ask in the name of Jesus, the Lord. Amen.
