CALL TO WORSHIP
Congregation: Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Leader: Lord, we hold our anxieties tightly, keeping our eyes close to the ground.
Congregation: Help us cast our worries upon You, Oh Lord. You care for us in wondrous ways.
Leader: Forgive us, Father. Our own actions betray the belief that You are not in control.
Congregation: Cultivate in us an expansive awareness of You, Oh Lord, that we may trust You at all times.
Leader: We repent of our small mindedness, and stubborn hearts. How could we forget the One who creates, sustains and ordains?
Congregation: You are full of compassion, rich in mercy. We rejoice in Your love everlasting.

Leader: God of love, as in Jesus Christ you gave yourself to us, so may we give ourselves to you, living according to your holy will. Keep our feet firmly in the way where Christ leads us; help our lips speak the truth that Christ teaches us; fill our bodies with the life that is Christ within us. In his holy name we pray. Amen.
