West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - September 22, 2024
Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: One thing I have desired of the Lord, and that will I seek:
Congregation: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
Leader: To behold the beauty of the Lord, and to seek him in his temple.
Congregation: Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tabernacle with shouts of joy.

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
Leader: Merciful God, you made us in your image, with a mind to know you, a heart to love you, and a will to serve you.
But our knowledge is imperfect, our love inconstant, and our obedience incomplete.
Congregation: Day by day, we fail to grow into your likeness. In your tender love, forgive us through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
Leader: By God's will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time. For by one offering, he has perfected forever those who are sanctified.
Congregation: Since we have a great high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since he who promised is faithful.

COMMITMENT
Congregation: Lord Jesus, as you fed those on the hillside, so feed us with your truth and grace. Help us trust that the provision you give is exactly what we need. Give us the faith to see the miracles within your provision, and help us acknowledge you as the source of every good gift. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Leader: As you go from here, go in the faith that Jesus has given us everything we need for life and godliness. Remember to turn to him this week because nothing is impossible with God! Peace be with you.
