9.1.24 - Short North Gathering Liturgy

Short North Sunday Gathering Liturgy - September 1 2024

Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.

CALL TO WORSHIP

Congregation: Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Leader: In response, the Church prays together:

Congregation: For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

COMMITMENT

Congregation: Where there is darkness, may we become your light.
Where there is sin, may we become your purity.
Where there is violence, may we become your peace.
Where there is conflict, may we become one in you.
Where there is illness, injury, and brokenness, may we become your healing.
Where there is doubt, may we become filled with your assurance and dare to hope.

BENEDICTION

Leader: Go from here in the authority of Jesus, carrying the banner of the kingdom into all corners of your life, sent by the Father and full to the brim with the Holy Spirit’s presence and power. Peace be with you!

Congregation: And also with you!
