CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
Leader: Lord, your standard of holiness, glory, and perfection is impossibly lofty for us. We cannot approach it. You knew this, and you continued to love us. Jesus, Messiah, you became one of us, and took our failure upon your own head, and voluntarily allowed yourself to be crushed by it. You did this all out of your deep, deep love for us, and desire to see us made into new creatures full of new life.
Congregation: Loving Lord Jesus, thank You for bearing my sins in your body on the cross. By your wounds I am healed and by your blood I am cleansed. I receive Your forgiveness now. Amen.
