Tri-City Sunday Gathering Liturgy - May 19, 2024
Pause in the middle of your week to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Bless the LORD, O my soul and all that is within me; bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all our iniquities.
Congregation: He heals all our diseases, He redeems our life from the pit of despair, He crowns us with steadfast love and mercy, He satisfies us with His good so that we may be renewed.
- Psalm 103:1-5

CALL TO CONFESSION
Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
- Isaiah 55:6-9
Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Let us turn away from our wicked ways. Let us return to the Lord, who is compassionate and gracious, ready to forgive abundantly. Let us acknowledge that our thoughts are not like God's thoughts, and our ways are far from His ways. Yet, just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are God's ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. With this assurance, Let us come before Him, humbly confessing our sins and seeking His mercy.
PRAYER
Merciful God, We come before You, acknowledging that we have strayed from Your
straight and narrow path. We have allowed our thoughts to wander into unrighteousness, and our actions often follow ways that are not Your ways. Lord, forgive us.
Help us to seek You first and to call upon You with sincerity. Give us the courage to forsake our wicked ways. Have compassion on us and pardon us in Your abundant mercy. Renew our minds and guide our steps in Your righteous ways. Lord, we marvel at Your compassion and love for us through Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.
