SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
This position serves the Tri-City congregation in two ways:
1.) Leads Veritas’ efforts, in partnership with parents, to see our children (Infant through Elementary School) connected with, loved and discipled to know Jesus within the context of the church family.
2.) Cultivates a culture of hospitality, creating a safe and engaging environment where all children can encounter the gospel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Plan Sunday morning curriculum and activities, other special gatherings, and outreach efforts
- Recruit, train, develop, and schedule all Veritas Kids volunteers and teachers
- Maintain safe, secure, and inclusive classroom environments in accordance with Veritas policies and procedures
- Champion family-centered discipleship by equipping and supporting parents with resources and guidance
- Maintain an updated handbook and welcome packet for Veritas Kids
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- Oversee Kids Ministry Team Leads, deacons, and team members
DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Proven ability to lead large teams of volunteers
- Proven ability to connect with and disciple children and students
- Very strong organizational abilities and an eye for detail
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and conflict resolution
- Previous experience with children’s safety policies/protocol desired
- Previous experience working with Planning Center is preferred
