Light of God

Christmas is not a call to discover the inner-light. It's a call to discover the true light. The great light described by the prophet Isaiah and the gospel-writer John is about someone transcendent coming into the world. It isn’t that we were good enough to receive this gift. It’s because we weren’t good enough that we needed this gift.
