Day 22 - Guided Reflection
Use the time in this video to reflect on the stories and this week's sermon.
In Luke 2:22-24 When Mary and Joseph came to the Temple to make their sacrifice, we see their OBEDIENCE and their POVERTY. The Gydes from day 16 are OBEYING the call to global missions through bible translation. Think about how God wants to be known to everyone, including the POOR and outcast.
Does your posture toward the poor reflect God’s inclusion of them in HIS redemption story?
In Luke 2:33-35, Simeon said that this SAVIOR would pierce souls and reveal hearts. Devon from day 21 talked about God in the form of CONVICTION as a sign of God's presence.
When God CONVICTS you, do you embrace the gift of salvation? Or do you needlessly hide?
In Luke 2:33-35, Simeon talks about conflict and peace. Austin from day 18 wrote about this same tension that arises when we follow God.
In what ways do you see conflict and peace in your life because of your commitments to God?
In Luke 2:36-38, Anna shows how we might worship Jesus as we wait for full redemption. Similarly, Gwen from day 20 shows how Christians can show up in the world, worshiping Jesus through neighborly love.
As you wait for full redemption, does the way you show up in the world reveal your worship of God?
