INTERIM COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Compensation: $22/hr

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Interim Communications Director supports the communications needs of Veritas Community Church during a 12-week maternity leave coverage period. This role helps ensure clear, consistent communication that connects members and attenders to the life and mission of the church.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Under the supervision of the Executive Pastor, responsibilities may include:
    • Create and manage content for email, website, social media, app, and print communications
    • Support promotion of sermon series, classes, events, and ministry initiatives
    • Maintain communication calendars, digital assets, and workflows
    • Collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure timely and accurate communication
    • Complete other communications-related tasks as assigned

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Strong written communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with social media and digital communication tools
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
  • Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Veritas Community Church
  • Preferred communications, marketing, ministry, or administrative experience
  • Preferred experience with content creation, photography, or graphic design
