SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Interim Communications Director supports the communications needs of Veritas Community Church during a 12-week maternity leave coverage period. This role helps ensure clear, consistent communication that connects members and attenders to the life and mission of the church.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Under the supervision of the Executive Pastor, responsibilities may include:
- Create and manage content for email, website, social media, app, and print communications
- Support promotion of sermon series, classes, events, and ministry initiatives
- Maintain communication calendars, digital assets, and workflows
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure timely and accurate communication
- Complete other communications-related tasks as assigned
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Strong written communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with social media and digital communication tools
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Veritas Community Church
- Preferred communications, marketing, ministry, or administrative experience
- Preferred experience with content creation, photography, or graphic design
