SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Communications Intern serves Veritas Community Church in two ways:
1.) Support church-wide communications and creative work in order to help people engage with the vision of Veritas Community Church
2.) Gain hands-on, mentored experience in ministry communications across multiple disciplines

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under the supervision of the Communications Director, responsibilities may include:
Responsibilities are intentionally flexible and may be tailored to the intern’s interests, skills, and academic learning objectives. This internship is structured as an educational experience, offering exposure to the strategy, planning, and execution of effective church communications.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Use storytelling skills in order to highlight ministry impact and church culture
- Support content creation for a variety of channels, including apps, website, email, social media, storytelling, print etc.
- Assist with photography, videography, and livestream support at Sunday gatherings and special events
- Create and organize communication assets for sermon series, classes, events, and ministry launches
- Maintain content calendars, digital assets, and communication workflows
- Complete other communications-related tasks as assigned

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (communications, marketing, media, journalism, design, ministry, or related field)
- Interest in storytelling, content creation, digital media, or church communications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools
- Basic experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software
