CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
Congregation: He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.
Congregation: For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
Congregation: Kind Shepherd, we have wandered away in heart, in mind, in action, and in allegiance.
We have been seduced by the siren songs of control, of power, of our lusts, and of our pride.
We have tried to add to what is already complete.
We have tried to reorder what is already perfect.
We have plugged up our ears to your voice.
Have mercy, we pray!
(Pause to confess specific sins to the Lord)
Leader: We thank you for your mercy, Faithful Shepherd!
Congregation: May your rod and your shepherd’s staff protect us from evil and redirect us into the way of everlasting life. Amen!
