4.13.25 - Short North Sunday Gathering Liturgy

Congregation: Jesus, our Lord, we shout hosannas to praise you. With eager hands, we place our cloaks and palms on the path before you. Yet, Lord, we confess that the mouths that seek to praise you often deny or defy you. And we confess that the hands that seek to serve you often become fists.

But thanks be to God for Jesus! That in Jesus there is no more condemnation, that we have been saved and have new life in Him! This is the beauty of Jesus’s work on the cross for us! 

Congregation: Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
For Christ came into the world not to condemn the world,
but that the world through him should be saved.

Thank you for sending Your Son to die in our place, to have victory over sin and death for us! We lift up our voices in thanksgiving saying: Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord - the King of Israel! Amen.

Leader: Go now, rejoicing in the King who comes in humility and glory. With hearts lifted in adoration, we welcome Jesus—not just with palm branches, but with surrendered lives. As we journey together through this week, may we be filled with holy anticipation—for the cross where love was poured out, and the empty tomb where hope begins. May the love of the Father, the grace of Christ, and the nearness of the Holy Spirit go with us, as we follow the One who saves—Hosanna in the highest! Peace be with you.
