4.6.25 - West Sunday Gathering Liturgy

West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - April 6,
 2025

Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.

PSALM

Psalm 95

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: Church, we gather today in the presence of the Living God, who calls us out of darkness and into His marvelous light. He has breathed life into us, filling us with His Spirit.

Congregation: The Spirit of truth has come—guiding us, convicting us, and revealing the glory of Christ.

Leader: Let us worship the Lord who gives us breath, who opens blind eyes, and who leads us into all truth.

Congregation: Holy Spirit, awaken our hearts! Jesus, be glorified in us!

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE

Leader: Together, we declare the greatness of our God—how He gives us breath and fills our lives with His presence. Yet Jesus tells us that the Spirit also comes to reveal what is true: to convict us of sin, to remind us of righteousness, and to turn our hearts back to God.

Congregation: We confess that our hearts are prone to wander, our affections divided, our trust misplaced.

Leader: But take heart—our God does not convict to condemn, but to lead us to grace. The Spirit calls us now, not to hide, but to return to the One who is faithful and just to forgive.

Congregation: Holy Spirit, search us. Jesus, be our only hope.

COMMITMENT

Leader: We have prayed, we have heard the Word, and we have received from the table. But the Spirit’s work does not end here—the Helper goes with us, shaping us, strengthening us, and leading us in truth.

Congregation: We will walk by the Spirit, not by the flesh. We will trust in His power, not our own.

Leader: He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in us. He will remind us of all that is true.

Congregation: Holy Spirit, lead us. Jesus, be our foundation. Our hope is in You alone.

BENEDICTION

Leader: Go now in the power of the Holy Spirit, who goes before you, walks beside you, and dwells within you. May He lead you into truth, strengthen you in grace, and remind you daily of the faithfulness of Christ. Peace be with you.

Congregation: And also with you!
