3.30.25 - West Sunday Gathering Liturgy

West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - March 30th,
 2025

Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.

PSALM

Psalm 63

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: We belong to Christ, and though the world rejects Him, we will follow Him!

Congregation: We are chosen by God, set apart for His glory. Our hope is in Christ alone!

Leader: Though we may face opposition, we are not alone. The Holy Spirit is with us, testifying to the truth.

Congregation: By His Spirit, we will stand firm and bear witness to Jesus!

Leader: So let us lift our voices, not in fear but in faith, for our God is good, and His love endures forever!

Congregation: We will praise the name of Jesus, our refuge and our strength!

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE

Leader: Jesus said, “If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.” Yet, too often, we fear rejection. We shrink back instead of standing firm. We seek comfort in the world rather than confidence in Christ.

Congregation: Lord, forgive us. We confess our fear, our doubt, and our desire for acceptance over faithfulness.

Leader: But hear this good news: Jesus has overcome the world! He has given us His Spirit, who strengthens and sustains us. In Him, we are not forsaken—we are held, empowered, and made new.

Congregation: In Christ, we are forgiven.

Leader: So let us lay aside fear and step forward in faith, trusting in the goodness of our God!

Congregation: Lord, give us the strength to walk in Your truth and to stand firm in Your love!

COMMITMENT

Leader: Jesus has called us out of the world, and though it may reject us, we stand secure in His love.

Congregation: We belong to Christ, and in Him, we will not be shaken!

Leader: The world may try to define us, but our identity is not in its approval. We are children of God, chosen and called by Him.

Congregation: Through Christ we are—redeemed, beloved, and sent as His witnesses!

Leader: So let us not live in fear, but in faith. Let us commit ourselves fully to Christ, trusting that He is with us always.

Congregation: Lord, strengthen us to stand firm, to love boldly, and to follow You wherever You lead!

BENEDICTION

Leader: Go with courage, for Christ has overcome the world. Go with confidence, for the Spirit of truth is within you. Go with love, for you belong to the One who first loved you. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you live for His glory. Peace be with you.

Congregation: And also with you!
