3.23.25 - West Sunday Gathering Liturgy

West Sunday Gathering Liturgy - March 23rd,
 2025

Carry Sunday with you into your week by pausing to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.

PSALM

Psalm 84

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: Come, all who are weary, all who are longing for life, all who thirst for something deeper. Jesus, the True Vine, calls us to abide in Him.

Congregation: Apart from Him, we can do nothing, but in Him, we bear the fruit of His love.
Leader: As branches connected to the Vine, we are nourished by His grace and sustained by His presence.

Congregation: We come to Jesus, the source of life, to dwell in His love.

Leader: Let us lift our voices and fix our hearts on Christ, for in Him we find the fullness of joy.

Congregation: We worship the God whose love never fails, who has called us friend, and who holds us fast.

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE

Leader: Jesus says, "Abide in me, and I in you. Apart from me, you can do nothing." (John 15:4-5)

We confess that we have sought life apart from Him. We have relied on our own strength and failed to love as He has loved us.

But hear this good news: "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you." (John 15:9)

Congregation: Thanks be to God! In Christ, we are forgiven and made new.

COMMITMENT

Leader: Christ alone is our foundation, our guide, and our greatest treasure. Apart from Him, we have nothing, but in Him, we have everything.

Congregation: He is the Vine; we are the branches. In Him, we live, grow, and bear fruit.

Leader: Jesus calls us to abide in His love—to build our lives on His truth, to walk in His ways, and to bear fruit that reflects His glory.

Congregation: Lord, shape us, lead us, and use us. Let our lives be built upon Your firm foundation—Your love, which is holy, unshakable, and sure.

BENEDICTION

Leader: Go now, abiding in the love of Christ. Staying rooted in His Word and loving as He has loved you. For He has chosen you, called you His own, and appointed you to go and bear fruit that lasts. So go in His grace, walk in His joy, and make His love known. Peace be with you.

Congregation: And also with you!
