Tri-City Sunday Gathering Liturgy - September 8, 2024
Pause in the middle of your week to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
Congregation: so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Amen!

CALL TO CONFESSION
The Lord is our fortress and defender! Yet, we are reminded of our limitations and weaknesses in the face of death, sickness, and despair. Too often, when we rely on our own strength, we fall short, and our efforts fail.
But in His mercy, God invites us to bring our sins and burdens before Him. Let us now, humbly acknowledging our need for His grace and seek the strength only He can provide.
Leader: Father, we confess that we often trust in ourselves instead of You. Your Word says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart,” yet we rely on our understanding.
Congregation: Forgive us, Lord, when we fail to trust in You.
Leader: Your strength is made perfect in weakness, but we resist admitting our need for You.
Congregation: Help us rely on Your grace and rest in Your power.
Leader: In Christ’s name, Amen.
