CONFESSION
Congregation: Our Father in Heaven, we are weighed down with the pain and anxieties of life that often cause us to doubt you or walk away from you. We continue to struggle with sin and pride that lead us away from loving you and loving our neighbor. In your love and mercy, hear our prayers of lament and confession and restore us in your grace and mercy.
Reflect and pray:
Take a moment of silent prayer to consider where your heart and life are at. What sins are you wrestling with? What pain or burdens or anxieties are you carrying?
Bring these to God in prayer, confess them and know that he will meet you with grace and mercy that renews, heals, and restores…
Leader: Heavenly Father, fill us anew with the joy of your eternal grace and presence,
with the awareness that our sins are forgiven through your shed blood,
and with the hope of the salvation you’ve secured for us.
Congregation: We rejoice that our failure and guilt have been replaced with the perfection, healing, and faithfulness of Jesus!

COMMITMENT
Send us out from this Gathering with a renewed confidence in JESUS!
…He is our firm foundation, the solid rock that will withstand the storms of evil and suffering!
…His name is over all other names.
…His power has defeated sin and death.
HOLD us firm in JESUS as we walk the path that you’ve laid out for us…
…as we take the name and gospel of Jesus into the dark corners of our city, our neighborhoods, our streets.
FILL US ANEW with your Spirit
…so that we can shine bright with the light of JESUS and bring hope to those around us…
…so that we can walk in the confidence and hope and presence of JESUS day to day
Fill us with a renewed awareness that JESUS is lord and king over all things!
All glory be to you, O GOD, alone!
