4.21.24 - Tri-City Gathering Liturgy

Tri-City Sunday Gathering Liturgy - April 21, 2024

Pause in the middle of your week to reflect on the readings, prayers, and songs we shared in together as the body of Christ.

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name,
you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with
you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when
you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall
not consume you. For I am the Lord your God.
Isaiah 43:1-3

Congregation: We trust in You, O Lord, our Savior, Pilot, Rock, and Deliverer. You are our Shield and Strength.

CALL TO CONFESSION

Brothers and sisters, as we gather together in the presence of our gracious God, Let us come before Him, acknowledging our need for His mercy and forgiveness.

Too often, we find ourselves turning away from the light of Christ, choosing darkness over light, sin over righteousness, and our ways over God's.

Yet, thanks be to God! Even in our brokenness and sin, He offers us forgiveness and reconciliation through the blood of Jesus Christ. So, let us come before Him, confessing our sins and seeking His cleansing power.

PRAYER OF INVOCATION

Jesus, name above all names, Beautiful Saviour, Glorious Lord, Emmanuel, God is with us, Blessed Redeemer, Living Word, Wonderful Counselor. We are humbled by Your greatness and glory. May our hearts and our eyes be fixed on You. Let everything we do and say bring honor and glory to Your name. May Your light shine through us, illuminating the darkness around us. May all the glory, honor, and praise be unto You, now and forever. In Jesus' Powerful Name, we pray. Amen.

COMMITMENT

Just as John the Baptist was sent to bear witness about the light, so too are we called to proclaim the message of love and welcome to the world.

May we be particularly mindful to extend our hands and hearts to those who are often overlooked and marginalized because of their disabilities. Let us welcome them with open arms, offering the same grace upon grace we have received in Christ. For in embracing each other's differences, we reflect the boundless love of our Creator.

BENEDICTION

Leader: May the Lord bless you and surround you with His grace. May His face shine upon your path, guiding you through every step. May His presence be your constant companion, bringing peace and joy to your heart. Go in His strength and love, knowing you are blessed and deeply cherished.

Peace be with you!

Congregation: And also with you.
